Elizabeth Lison is the Owner, Director, and Lead Early Childhood Educator and Provider at Camilla’s Place Family Childcare, LLC (CPFC) located in Lunenburg, Massachusetts (MA). Elizabeth is currently licensed by the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) as a Special Education Administrator and Severe Special Education Teacher (Ages 3-22) and is licensed by the MA Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) as a Family Childcare Educator & Provider. In addition, Elizabeth is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), which is a national certification provided and overseen by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
CPFC delivers evidence-based family childcare practices and services within the field of early childhood education and care. CPFC utilizes the best available research and knowledge from professional experts within the field and data, and most importantly direct input from enrolled children, their parents, and other important community and family members in order to identify and provide early childhood education and care services that have been evaluated and proven to achieve significant positive outcomes for children and families.
Elizabeth has extensive knowledge and twenty (20) plus years of direct experience effectively working with children and adults who have been diagnosed with a variety of disabilities and behavioral issues. Elizabeth believes that all behaviors, including challenging behavior, is a form of communication. Therefore, it is her belief that children should not be punished for engaging in maladaptive behavior, and instead they should be directly taught and reinforced for engaging in specific, socially equivalent and appropriate replacement skills and behaviors.
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Framingham State University (FSU), a Master’s Degree in Severe Special Education with a Concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Simmons College, and a Masters Certificate in ABA from UMass Lowell. Elizabeth is currently working towards obtaining a Doctoral Degree/Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in ABA from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP).
Elizabeth has worked in the residential group home setting for both adults and children with various disabilities and medical diagnoses, the public and private school setting, and the home care setting. Elizabeth is currently trained and certified in infant, child, and adult First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Elizabeth enjoys spending her free time with her family, especially her husband and 2-year-old daughter. Elizabeth has a strong passion and love for rescue animals, specifically abandoned and abused dogs, and she has three rescue dogs named Simba, Chloe, and June-Bug. Elizabeth additionally enjoys spending free time by cuddling with her dogs, reading non-fiction books, and watching educational documentaries and series.
